Elders is a portfolio of portraits of significant trees in the Pacific Northwest. These trees have endured for centuries, shaped by their environments over time. This work focuses on trees as characters, treating each tree as an individual marked by its own history. Through much time in old growth forests, I have come to recognize these trees as remnants, each containing a past that extends well beyond human memory.
